Marsten is an extremely powerful alpha werewolf. His general werewolf abilities include superhuman strength, speed, endurance, healing, agility, and senses (able to smell the emotional state of humans and night vision), but to levels far superior to those of modern werewolves. Marsten is able to conceal his nature from most  powerful individuals, though it takes a toll on him. His "beast" is extraordinarily strong, and Marsten can often control other shapeshifters' changing by his raw power. He is one of the few shapeshifters able to partially shapeshift. Marsten also has the extremely rare ability to "feed the pack" - sharing some of his magical power by feeding his own blood to pack members.

Marsten is incredibly powerful, he was able to withstand the killing of his first Vampire Master by his own hand. He was then taken by another Vampire Master, Sebastian, it was short ended when Sasha Gray and a Voodoun  Priest exorcised him of the claiming, allowing Alex Vipond to slip in and mark him. Alex and Meghan shared the Triumvirate with him, making all three a near indestructible force. Then ,a falling out. Meghan and Alex grew apart. A mortal fantasy was crushed. With the help of Fae and Witch, the bonds were dissolved. The Trivumvirate no more.

Marsten's power has enhanced. Making the man and beast even more powerful. He is now known as a Master Alpha Werewolf. Marsten's abilities and beast are continously growing due to his inner strength and will to be something more than just the man he had been before. Something better for him, his family and pack.

I am dying inside and there is nothing I can do
But what does it matter when there's nothing left to lose
I'm still falling apart like I've always done before
The pain is almost numbing and I'll always beg for more
